Pocket Gateway Accelerator Program

Kick off the program by diving deep into Gateways, the PATH SDK, and POKT Network infrastructureI. Work closely with the program team to create a clear development roadmap and KPIs tailored to your project’s goals. Every week you will meet once a week with the program team to checkin on your KPI and with your cohort.

Execute your roadmap and start building your gateway. Participate in weekly workshops to refine your project, address technical hurdles, and iterate based on feedback from peers and experts.

Prepare for the final showcase by perfecting your pitch and highlighting your progress. Collaborate with the team to craft a compelling story for your project, culminating in Demo Day presentations to the POKT community.

Post-program, continue building with POKT’s infrastructure and ecosystem support while leveraging connections made during the accelerator to scale your project. We ask you to provide monthly updates to the program team and recommend you stay in touch with your cohort.

If blockchains are vast reservoirs of data, POKT Network’s Web3 Infrastructure is the pipes and valves that move it around the ecosystem, and gateways are the taps that make it easy to consume where & when you need it.

Gateways optimize performance, build and maintain value added features, and cater for use cases and specific audiences.

Each Gateway is effectively its own decentralized RPC business but, instead of building their own underlying infrastructure, they plug into POKT Network’s. Kind of like how it might look if anyone could build a ride-hailing app on top of Uber’s database and systems.

Outside of blockchains, gateways can exist for other sources of data and be built on top of open protocols or even your own application’s data.

Using the PATH SDK you can start building your gateways on the new Shannon testnet. Gateways can also be built on other protocols or sources of data. For example storage gateways can be built on top of IPFS or Arweave. You can find the PATH SDK here and find the READ ME here.

We recommend applying with an existing idea or project. If accepted, we can help you shape it into a Gateway.

Upon being accepted into the program, we provide a grant of $25,000 USDC. An initial payment of $5,000 USDC is distributed upon admission. The remaining $20,000 USDC is distributed monthly over twelve (12) months tied to continued development milestones.

The program is 3 months long and requires your full time commitment. Attendance is mandatory to all programming and workshops.

We’re looking for builders with strong technical backgrounds and deep understanding of their markets, who are 18 and over that can commit full time to the program.

The first round includes completing our application. We will review your application across different dimensions including technical and domain experience. If selected, participants are then invited for a second round which includes an interview with a team member. After that decisions are then made.

We are selecting 6 talented builders to receive $25,000 each in USDC and gain exclusive access to the POKT Network, enabling them to bring innovative gateway solutions to life.
